About

Deacon Michael D. Leman, Legislative Liaison

As Legislative Liaison, Deacon Mike serves as a point of contact between the leadership and faithful of the Diocese of Cheyenne and representatives of the local, state and federal governments, giving voice to the Catholic perspective on issues of public policy and encouraging political engagement which reaches beyond party affiliation or partisanship, with an emphasis on mutual recognition of common moral principles.

A native of Wyoming and U.S. Army veteran, Deacon Mike worked as a firefighter in Fort Collins for 13 years before he began working at the Diocese. He has been serving in his diaconal vocation at Holy Trinity in Cheyenne since 2012.

Deacon Mike and his wife Jennifer were married in 2000, and they have two daughters, Sophie and Lily.
